3rd Generation Prius Cruises in Style

The most popular hybrid of all time, the Toyota Prius, has already shocked the world with its green technology, and now it’s doing it again – with an updated design more cutting edge than ever. The third generation Prius is now displaying its innovation on the outside, with sharply creased corners, a forward placement of the Toyota badge, lowered grille and styling that Toyota’s global design chief Wahei Hirai calls “free-form geometrics.” The new Prius allows drivers to proudly flaunt their green vehicle with an avant-garde, high-tech look that’s hard to miss.

The ’10 Prius also has an optional photovoltaic solar roof panel that uses the sun to power cabin vent fans, keeping the interior from reaching oven-like temperatures in the summer. Another positive change is LED low-beam headlights that use 17 percent less energy than high-intensity discharge lights. The 2010 Prius is Toyota’s technology flagship car, so expect to see similar designs popping up in other models soon.

Leaving the Smallest Carbon Footprint Possible...

Toyota is not only striving toward green innovation in its models, but the company is also focusing on how it can be environmentally responsible from start to finish. North American Toyota plants have discovered how to best manage waste and recycling, reducing landfill waste by 96% in the past ten years!  Renewable resources are also being discovered and used, including plastic made from corn and soy oil-based polyurethane foam used in the passenger seats of certain vehicles. Environmental commitment extends across all areas of the company, from manufacturing to disposal – just one more reason to buy a Toyota.

Meet the Most Fuel Efficient Lexus Ever, the HS 250h

The World’s First Dedicated Luxury Hybrid…Perfect Harmony between the Driver, the Road and the Environment

Ground breaking again, Lexus unites electricity with gas and sustainability with performance, the result…the all-new HS 250h! The HS features the very latest in Lexus Hybrid Drive technology, with an impressive 35 combined mpg and emissions low enough to merit a Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV II) rating. The hybrid’s interior and luggage areas are made of 30% Ecological Plastics, which are plant based and therefore less harmful to the environment.

Lexus thought of everything during the creation of the HS, including an aerodynamic design that reduces wind and noise, a windshield that keeps you cool and eases the air conditioner’s workload – and the list goes on. Come experience the HS, which recently arrived at Thompson Lexus.
