The fifth-generation 4Runner offers stable off-road capability and great comfort
with even more roominess than before. More than 1.8 million of the rugged

3rd Generation Prius Cruises in Style

The most popular hybrid of all time, the Toyota Prius, has already shocked the world with its green technology, and now it’s doing it again – with an updated design more cutting edge than ever. The third generation Prius is now displaying its innovation on the outside, with sharply creased corners, a forward placement of the Toyota badge, lowered grille and styling that Toyota’s global design chief Wahei Hirai calls “free-form geometrics.” The new Prius allows drivers to proudly flaunt their green vehicle with an avant-garde, high-tech look that’s hard to miss.

The ’10 Prius also has an optional photovoltaic solar roof panel that uses the sun to power cabin vent fans, keeping the interior from reaching oven-like temperatures in the summer. Another positive change is LED low-beam headlights that use 17 percent less energy than high-intensity discharge lights. The 2010 Prius is Toyota’s technology flagship car, so expect to see similar designs popping up in other models soon.

Scion iQ-The Coolest Little Car

What’s the excitement of a concept car? Each year, car design teams bring their heads together to create a wild prototype vehicle, showing off their design skills and gauging customer reactions. However, few ever make the market as most designs are just too outlandish.

Yet at the New York Auto Show in April, one tiny concept car caught everyone’s attention. The Toyota iQ sports three seats, eye catching wheels and fenders, an eccentric front end and funky hatchback. This souped-up Scion is already a big seller in Japan, and the Toyota is scheduled to produce the car in the U.S. in 2010 with just a few subtle changes. At an astonishing 53 mpg, the iQ is small but mighty, at the forefront of gas mileage and unique design.
