New York Times Gushes Over 550i Gran Turismo

In a review of the most recent BMW standout, The New York Times raved about the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, stating, “Beneath the styling is a silk-purse driving experience.” Not exactly a wagon, hatchback or crossover, the GT falls into a category of its own. Its unusually appealing design allows for expansive roominess, and The New York Times claims an impressive selling point is the dual-access tailgate, opening as either a trunk lid or large tailgate. With such luxurious performance, you’d expect a lack in practicality or style – but the 550i GT encompasses it all.

Lexus First in Customer Satisfaction

Lexus has placed first in the American Customer Satisfaction Index for 2009, tying with Cadillac. Lexus scored 89 out of a possible 100 points, a 2.3% increase over 2008.

This marks the fourth year in a row that Lexus has placed first in the University of Michigan study, which asks car buyers to rate their satisfaction level compared with their expectations. In addition to helping companies understand the wants and needs of their customers, the index is also a good resource for customers in judging which products are rated highest.
