3 Series Gets New Twin Power Turbo Engine

BMW’s 2011 335i coupe and convertible arrive this spring updated and refreshed. The most notable changes are under the hood – the new single twin-scroll turbo 6-cylinder engine maintains the same 300-horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque as the engine in the outgoing models yet is more responsive, more fuel efficient and cleaner-running than its predecessor. This new engine reduces turbo lag, boosts performance and makes the joy of driving the 3 Series even more exhilarating.

The coupe will be available with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system and some attractive new wood trims. Opt for the convertible and you’ll have the advanced option of “sun-reflective” leather which can reduce seat surface temperatures by up to 36 degrees. Check Thompson BMW for more updates on exactly when the new 3 Series will be arriving.
